A report by Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations finds that   Nearly 55% of dairy owners allow their sick animals to be milked.

Findings include indiscriminate use of Oxytocin

The report also finds out that a fourth of India’s dairies had no shelter for animals and half of these institutions housed sick and injured animals.

This shows improper implementation of National Dairy Plan which aimed to improve productivity and quality of milk
